The head of the dog is in proportion to the size of the body. The large eyes are dark and round. The nose should be black with open nostrils. The body is compact, with sloping shoulder blades and fairly deep chest. The tail is longhaired and carried gracefully over the back. A maltese cross puppy may be found at a rescue.
